Proton Meet is a video meeting platform developed by the Swiss-based privacy company Proton, headquartered in Geneva. Built on an end-to-end encryption model every call’s audio, video, screen-sharing, and chat is encrypted on the user’s device before transmission. This means that even Proton cannot access or decrypt meeting content.

Hosted on Swiss servers under strict data protection laws, the platform follows zero-access architecture ensuring meeting passwords are never stored or transmitted to servers. After meetings end, metadata like participant lists isn’t retained.

Users can join without accounts, schedule via Proton Calendar, or integrate with Google/Microsoft calendars. The free tier supports up to 50 participants for one hour, while professional plans unlock extended duration and admin controls.
